Easter Traybake: A Sweet Treat for the Spring

Easter is a time for celebration, and what better way to celebrate than with a delicious traybake? This easy-to-make treat is perfect for sharing with family and friends, and it's sure to put a smile on everyone's face.

Ingredients:

* 175g plain flour, plus extra for dusting
* 175g caster sugar
* 175g butter, cubed
* 2 large eggs
* 1 tsp vanilla extract
* 100g mixed dried fruit
* 50g chopped nuts
* 50g chocolate chips

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan/gas 4.
2. Grease and line a 23cm x 33cm baking tray with baking paper.
3. In a large bowl, rub together the flour and butter until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
4. Stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
5. Add the dried fruit, nuts, and chocolate chips and mix well.
6. Press the mixture into the prepared baking tray and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
7. Leave to cool in the tray for a few minutes before cutting into squares.

Tips:

* For a chewier traybake, add an extra 50g of flour.
* For a sweeter traybake, add an extra 50g of sugar.
* If you don't have any dried fruit, you can use chopped fresh fruit instead.
* You can also add other ingredients to your traybake, such as mini marshmallows or sprinkles.
