Easy Steak Mushroom Pie: A Delicious and Comforting Meal

Ingredients
* 1 pound flank steak, cut into thin strips
* 1 tablespoon olive oil
* 1 onion, chopped
* 1 green bell pepper, chopped
* 1 red bell pepper, chopped
* 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
* 1/2 cup dry red wine
* 1 cup beef broth
* 1/2 cup heavy cream
* 1 teaspoon dried thyme
* 1 teaspoon dried oregano
* Salt and pepper to taste
* 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
* 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Add steak strips to the skillet and cook until browned on both sides.
4. Remove steak from the skillet and set aside.
5. Add onion, green bell pepper, and red bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened.
6. Add mushrooms to the skillet and cook until softened.
7. Add red wine to the skillet and cook until reduced by half.
8. Add beef broth, heavy cream, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper to the skillet.
9. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, or until sauce has thickened.
10. Add steak strips back to the skillet and stir to combine.
11. Pour steak mixture into the pie crust.
12. Cover pie crust with the other half of the pie crust and crimp edges to seal.
13. Brush the top of the pie crust with the beaten egg.
14. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.
15. Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

* You can use any type of steak you like, but flank steak is a good choice because it is relatively inexpensive and cooks quickly.
